A display within a San Francisco shopping center exhibited eight young women with price tags attached to all their bodies. The displays, element of a plan by the Working Group Against Human Trafficking, sought to focus on the issue of human being trafficking slovak brides and to raise awareness of the difficulty. The advertising featured the women’s ages, weight, height, and other measurements. They also included their countries of start and gender. In the process, the women’s reviews and the job of the designers were brought to light.
An unit installation called “Women for Sale” was created by Task Pressure on Human Trafficking in Sweden, as part of a campaign to create consumption of sexual providers a offense. The set up was a great interactive installation, which shown real women and their rates with all the details they could provide: level, weight, and measurements. The goal was to increase awareness of this kind of practice and to collect enough signatures to pressure the ministry to take action.
The women on display in the assembly were shown in the store’s window with price tags and details of their height, excess weight, and other measurements. The prices for the women were put up next to their photos, plus the price tags included their region of foundation. The unit installation aimed to raise awareness about the problem of human trafficking and to accumulate enough validations to make that a crime. In Israel, this has been a hit in reducing the demand for the purpose of prostitutes.
